50-year-old man arrested for allegedly stealing cash from his mother’s purse

A 50-year-old man is anticipated to look in courtroom after he was arrested for allegedly stealing cash from his 74-year-old mom’s purse in South Africa. 

Spokesperson of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Division (EMPD), Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa mentioned the suspect was arrested on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. 

“The 74-year-old feminine complainant alleges that on December 6, at 11am, whereas she and her naughty son, the suspect, had been enjoyable at dwelling, she rapidly went to the toilet. The mom left behind a purse containing an undisclosed sum of money,” Thepa mentioned.

“When she (the mom) got here again, the son was nowhere to be discovered. Cash was lacking from the purse. The mom mentioned she is certain that the cash was stolen by her son,”

The mom alleged that within the earlier week, the 50-year-old son had stolen the reminiscence card of her cellphone, and a two-plate range.
